Video of Founder of Barstool Sports Kicked Out of the Big Game; Wins $125k in Sports Betting
Boston, MA - Last week, Dave Portnoy and fellow Barstool employee PFT Commentator were removed from the Super Bowl Opening Day Event. According to officials, the two were found at the event with fake press passes. In turn, the Barstool Sports workers were issued a criminal trespass warning from the local police.
Fast forward a week, and we’re now at the Super Bowl LIII. Though the NFL told all employees from Barstool Sports to stay away from the event, they did not adhere to the warning. Dave Portnoy, founder of Barstool Sports, also known as “El Presidente,” took his chances. According to sources, Portnoy used his Super Bowl ticket to walk into the stadium and watch the New England Patriots face the Los Angeles Rams Sunday night.
Once he was discovered present, under his mustache and shades disguise, he was carried out of the stadium by security. Someone had alerted security during the Maroon 5 halftime show.
Later on social media, Portnoy stated that he had been charged with criminal trespassing. He will not be allowed to return to the arena that the Super Bowl was held at for over a year.
The history between Barstool Sports and the NFL hasn’t been all that great for quite some time. In fact, the relationship dwindled apart last summer when some of the employees over from Barstool were arrested in the lobby of the NFL headquarters in New York City. The employees had been holding a protest. After this event, they were all banned from Super Bowl events in general.
It’s unclear whether Portnoy was arrested on Super Bowl Sunday. This information has not been leaked. Portnoy did not resist security, though they did physically lift his entire body off the ground to ‘escort’ him out of the stadium. According to sources, it took a few guards to get the Barstool Sports president out without causing a massive disturbance.
Dave Portnoy has not come forward in additional statements on the matter yet. If so, this information has not yet been released to the public.
