Darrell Jones was convicted of a murder in Brockton in 1986. In 2017, a judge vacated his conviction, finding that the trial was both tainted by a racist jury and rife with police misconduct. Jones was immediately  put back on trial for the same murder and today, in a resounding victory for Jones, the Massachusetts Innocence Project, and the investigative journalists who advocated for him, he was declared not guilty once and for all.
