2.2 Earthquake Topples Nothing and Gently Rocks Cribs in Central Massachusetts
Boston, MA - In one of the most significant stories of the past century, a tiny earthquake - causing tremors about the strength of a pick-up truck traveling 15 MPH roughly 40 feet away - tore through central Massachusetts slightly after noon on Friday. In Templeton, Gardner, and Winchedon, residents were likely jolted 0.001 inches at their desks when the magnitude 2.2 earthquake shook the towns.
"We feared for our lives," said nobody.
