According to court documents, the dead body of the teenager was found on August 2, 2018, at the Henry Avenue Playground located in Lynn, Massachusetts. A civilian had found the body in the wooded area of the park. Once the police arrived on scene, it was determined that the body had been there for quite a few days already.

Lopez, Salvador, Reyes, Tercero, and Vaquerano allegedly murdered the victim with extreme cruelty. The evidence provided in the court case includes a recording of Salvador describing the murder in graphic detail. Included in the recording was how all men stabbed the victim several times. Lopez assisted in the murder. The recording suggested that Duggins was the leader of the group.

The victim was targeted due to the gang’s assumption of his being in contact with law enforcement.

According to U.S. Attorney Andrew Lelling, MS-13 is an extremely violent group of men that commit senseless acts of crime. Their goal is to instill fear into people and remain in complete control.

Massachusetts mission is to dismantle MS-13 as soon as possible.
