Sam Adams Releases Red Sox-themed IPA – Only Available This Week
Boston, MA - Sam Adams beer is a classic, especially in Boston and surrounding areas. That’s why when they released their new double IPA known as 'Damage Done,’ fans went wild. What’s the catch, though? The beer will only be available this week, so go grab it while you can!
Boston is throwing a great big parade in honor of the Red Sox win this week, but Samuel Adams could not wait for the parade to release its limited time double IPA beer. Tonight, at 5 p.m., the Jamaica Plain Brewery will be releasing Damage Done Double IPA for all fans to enjoy. Winning the World Series in a total of 5 games wasn’t victory enough, the beer loved by Boston had to chip in to celebrate with the fans.
According to a Sam Adams representative, the double IPA comes in at a little over 7% ABV and contains ingredients like vanilla beans, guava, mango, and lactose. The beer company wanted to make sure they could give the fans what’s known as, “Red Sox in a can.”
Damage Done will be offered at Jamaica Plain brewery for $16. It will only be available until the end of this week. The first hundred customers to buy the beer will get Red Sox memorabilia.
The brewery was interviewed on their decision to leak the beer, and they stated that there’s no better way than to take the official beer of the Red Sox and add a little something extra to it. The brewery didn’t want to jinx it, so they kept the newly made beer quiet, in hopes that the team would win. Jamaica Plain Brewery hopes that many people come on by to buy a beer, cheer on the Red Sox, and march in the parade together tomorrow.
This is Sam Adams first year serving as the official beer of the Red Sox and they’ve had the teams back ever since. This past September, Sam Adams released a beer known as Red Seat IPA in honor of the late Red Sox player Ted Williams for a limited time.
