Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient, Army Sgt. Jared Monti, Honored In Hometown.
A memorial service was held for Army Sgt. Jared Monti on Sunday in the soldier's hometown of Weymouth. Monti died in 2006 after sacrificing himself to save a fellow soldier in Afghanistan after they were attacked by the Taliban. [WHDH]
Twelve-Year-Old Boy Saved In Newton After Falling Into 10-Foot Hole.
The boy was rescued by Newton firefighters on Sunday evening after falling in the uncovered hole in the dirt pits near Lake Avenue. He was brought to Boston Children’s Hospital and is reported to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries. [CBS Local]
