Boston, MA - Sources say that actor Kevin Spacey is to be charged with indecent assault and battery. This is the result of an alleged sexual assault case at a bar in Nantucket in which Spacey had an inappropriate interaction with the son of the former anchor of WCVB, Heather Unruh. Sources say that the incident took place in 2016.
According to records, a criminal complaint was issued on December 20th for the sexual assault incident, leading the courts to arraign spacey this upcoming year, on January 7, 2019. The arraignment will take place in Nantucket District Court. This information has been confirmed with the Cape & Island’s District Attorney’s Office as of recent.
All news regarding the alleged sexual assault and criminal charges to be issued to Spacey were first reported to the Boston Globe.
Approximately one year ago, Unruh publicly claimed that Spacey had sexually assaulted her son. It wasn’t until a year later, this past December, to which a criminal charge was issued. Unruh gave her statement during a televised news conference, stating that Spacey had given her 18-year-old son too many drinks the night of the incident. According to Unruh, Spacey had kept feeding her son alcoholic beverages at the Nantucket bar known as Club Car bar back in July 2016, to which Spacey then forced his hand down Unruh’s sons pants without consent.
During the press conference, Unruh was quoted, saying, “Kevin Spacey bought him drink after drink after drink…”. After the 18-year-old was too drunk to know what was happening, Spacey then sexually assaulted the young man, according to Unruh.
After the incident had taken place, Unruh’s son came forward, issuing a criminal complaint, to which sparked a criminal investigation.
In addition to this incident, Spacey was also accused of sexual misconduct by multiple other men last year. This information was leaked during the Me Too movement, of which multiple sexual allegations came to the public’s eye against celebrities and businessmen alike.
After all allegations came forward, Kevin Spacey was removed from Netflix’s show “House of Cards” as well as the motion picture “All the Money in the World.”
