How Would the Characters of Game of Thrones Fare in Boston?

Boston, MA– Warning: spoilers ahead for Game of Thrones and its final season!

Westeros. King's Landing. Winterfell. Meereen. The various fictional locations on Game of Thrones are plentiful and many characters have stuck out series upon series of tribulations in each of them. What could be harder than trying to brave the cold winters in the north? How about braving the cold of Boston, Massachusetts.

Sure, Jon Snow has stared down the Knight King and yes, Cersei Lannister witnessed what happens when she crosses someone with a dragon, but do any of these acts really compare to trying to catch an MBTA bus on time? Or avoiding a confrontation with any one of the local celebrities who hangs out near Faneuil Hall, like Black Swan? Westeros is tough, but Weston and Boston are tougher.

And with the series finale of the much beloved (and newly maligned, according to some distraught, unprepared fans) approaching in just two days, one writer, Devra First, took to The Boston Globe's RealEstate page to share their thoughts on where they think that the characters from Game of Thrones would like to call home. Here is one such example.

For Daenerys Targaryen, First wrote that she belongs in Weston. She penned the following reasoning:

"The 'Mother of Dragons' will don the form-fitting high fashion known as Lululemon and find her young a good school district. There’s plenty of room for Drogon and Rhaegal to stretch their wings and cool off in the pool at her compound. If they should escape from time to time, no one will mind, provided they do their hunting in Wayland."

The article was hilarious and instantly went viral, but it did not include every GoT character.

So I would just personally like to add Jaime Lannister and Tormund Giantsbane to the mix. Jaime would live in Foxborough because, as he said in a recent episode, he is "hateful." Tormund would actually live in the New England Aquarium's IMAX theater because he is an unbridled wild card.

What do you think about the characters from Thrones? Would you want them as neighbors in Boston?
