High Winds Cause Parts of Fenway Building to Crumble, Crushing Cars & Sidewalk
Boston, MA - The Van Ness building on Fenway's Boylston Street is described as luxury Boston apartments with new and modern designs. These residential and commercial units are expensive due to their prime location and high-end touches. Little did its builders know that some of those high-end touches could make the building a dangerous location on December 21. Pieces of the modern design came tumbling off, damaging cars and the sidewalk below.
A weather alert warning was sent out in the Boston area early this morning, and those high winds (and possibly construction errors, as some have suggested) are to blame today's accident, which caused some minimal damage and no reported injuries.
Local reports have suggested that traffic was impacted by the incident.
