Duron Harmon Has Predictions for the Game of Thrones Finale (And So Do I!)

Foxborough, MA– There have been few cultural phenomenons with as much resonance as Game of Thrones has had as of late, but it has truly become what could quite possibly the last bastion of monoculture television. The kind of show that fuels water cooler and Internet discussion for weeks, months, and years on end. As such, people from all fields and levels of fame have been enraptured by the show and they have predictions for how it is going to end tonight. Spoilers for the eighth and final season are in this article as we predict how the sprawling fantasy epic will draw to a conclusion!

Based off of everything that happened in the penultimate episode, "The Bells," it seems like we are truly headed for the famed "bittersweet ending" that George R.R. Martin has long promised the fans. We also seem to be headed for an ending that resembles where the show began. Someone is very likely to kill Daenerys Targaryen to become the "Queenslayer," just as Jaime Lannister did all those years ago to become "Kingslayer." Gendry, a Baratheon, has a shot at sitting on the Iron Throne. There is almost certain to be many parallels. My prediction is that there is no throne at the end of the show and individual kingdoms rule themselves instead. Sansa Stark will be the closest equivalent to a "ruler" and Jon Snow will travel north once he dispatches of Daenerys.

But New England Patriots safety Duron Harmon also watches Game of Thrones and he regularly shares recaps on his Twitter feed. He recently shared his thoughts about how he thinks the show will end with the following commentary.

“Honestly, I think Dany is going to die. I think Arya is going to kill Dany. I don’t know if she’s going to kill Grey Worm first and take his face and then kill Dany that way or what, but I think what Dany did, I don’t think Jon is going to stand by her anymore. I don’t think Arya is standing by her, especially with Sansa probably pushing her out.”

So what do you think? Is Harmon likely to be right? Am I getting decently close to what the ending could be? Maybe it's somewhere in the middle? Comment below with your predictions!
