BOSTON – Amazon will be holding a job fair in Boston and several other locations in the hopes of filling 30,000 openings, according to Boston 25.

The online giant will be looking for job candidates throughout the Boston area as well as six other major cities within the country as they look to fill full time positions with benefits.

The Amazon Career Day will be held on September 17th in Boston as well as Arlington (VA), Chicago, Dallas, Nashville, and Seattle.

Amazon is looking to find a range of new employees during Amazon Career Day, from software engineers, warehouse workers to administrative assistants as they anticipate a busy season ahead with the holidays coming.

“Amazon has created more than 300,000 new jobs in the U.S. over the last decade – and we’re proud to continue investing and creating opportunities for people across the country,” said Jeff Bezos, Amazon founder and CEO, per Business Wire.

“These are jobs with highly competitive compensation and full-benefits from day one, as well as training opportunities to gain new skills in high-demand fields such as robotics and machine learning.”

The news of Amazon Career Day comes as the company continues to grow with a new headquarters in the works in Arlington, Virginia.

"I encourage anyone willing to think big and move fast to apply for a job with us," Amazon CEO and founder Jeff Bezos shared while speaking with the Associated Press.

You'll get to invent and see Amazon making even bolder bets on behalf of our customers."

Potential candidates will have access to roughly 1,000 Amazon recruiters who will be on hand at the job fair to answer questions and take applications. Recruiters will also help candidates prepare for job interviews in their prospective positions.
