BOSTON - From one of the premier spots in Boston for all things late-night dining and entertainment comes a brand new venture that is sure to have Bostonians delighting, as well as singing some classic tunes.
Over the weekend, Kings Back Bay announced that they would be opening a karaoke bar in their venue and it opened this past Saturday, February 29 to acclaim. The karaoke bar is named Backstage Karaoke Bar and it comes complete with a musical stage, karaoke equipment, and a photo booth to help pass the time while people wait for their turn, as shared by Boston Magazine. Of course, the bar is also right nearby and the rest of Kings' treats are included in the restaurant venue.
The opening party for the karaoke bar took place from eight in the evening to two in the morning on Leap Day and it came with free snack foods and one free shot of alcohol. The party, on top of all of it, was free to attend! It made a big splash in Boston and tons of karaoke patrons were delighted to have a brand new spot to croon.
The hours of operation for Backstage Karaoke Bar are slated to be from eight to eleven in the evening and only from Wednesdays to Saturdays. There is not a huge market for people who want to hear drunk, pitchy covers of their favorite songs from 1987 on a Monday morning, after all. Fortunately, these prime spots will make for excellent karaoke fun in the city!
This sounds like a pretty fun spot to be, if I am being quite honest! It is not the first karaoke bar to come to Boston (spots like Wild Rover on Chatham Street and Limelight on Tremont Street come to mind), but it does seem to be quite lively and who could ever say no to more karaoke bars, after all? Do you have a go-to karaoke song and, if so, are you going to belt it out at Backstage Karaoke Bar? For me, I might be inclined to throw out a little "Africa" by Toto, or perhaps some ABBA.
